Spring & Sprouts
Have I ever told you how much I love this time of year? Because I really, truly do! I’m always on the lookout for blooming trees and that lush, vibrant green grass that seems to multiply overnight. Spring just makes everything come alive — including my garden dreams!
February and March kept me busy buying and planting seeds. Right now, I’ve got tomatoes, cabbage, broccoli, peppers, cauliflower, herbs, and flowers all sprouting and growing strong. And guess what? Last fall, I dried a bunch of seeds to reuse — and I’m thrilled to report they’re alive and thriving!
Of course, in true "me" fashion, I went a little overboard (as usual). Starting seeds is no exception to my tendency to go big — and now I’ve got quite a few plants growing beautifully. But with only a small garden space… what’s a girl to do?
I say: Start a Plant Stand!
That’s exactly the plan this year. Last season, folks were already asking about my plants — and in my humble opinion, they looked super duper compared to the store-bought kind. So I figured, why not share the love?
Mark your calendars! My plant stand officially opens on May 2, alongside a garage sale at my home. I’ll have my greenhouse open for browsing, and all proceeds will go toward a ministry that’s close to my heart: Operation Christmas Child. We pack up shoeboxes filled with love and essentials for children all around the world — a beautiful mission through Samaritan’s Purse.
We’ll see how the first event goes, and then who knows? This could be just the beginning of the OCC & Seasonal Treasures Plant Stand journey.
Stay tuned! 🌱💚
